This is a DiscontinuedProject. Currently, no effort is made for further work here. I have bought a used logic analyzer on ebay, and am happy with it.

I would like to be able to monitor larger buses (say, to control an LCD, or even only an I2C bus), and have the signals there displayed in a debuggable form. Logic analyzers do such things, and have several triggering options, and a memory capturing events around the specific trigger event. I hope that building a device that fits my needs here (clock speeds well under 20 MHz) is not impossible, however, it might be a challenging work.

There are projects like this on the web, so currently I think I could be also able to build some debugging aid -- even if it is not a real logic analyzer by public and professional means afterwards.
