This is a DiscontinuedProject. Currently, no effort is made for further work here. As I don't even own a Gameboy, it looks like this is rather a nice idea for something to do in times of boredom -- but boredom is far away, and lots of more urgent projects are in my mind. So I close this file...
There once was a video game thingy called the Gameboy - it is actually a small microprocessor-based computer with an LCD, sound, and I/O. Programs are fed into it by means of an EPROM. The microcontroller is said to be "Z80-like".
http://azug.minpet.unibas.ch/~lukas/GBprojects/GB.html is a nice starting point, and Gbspec.txt seems to be the bible of Gameboy hackers. This might be a fun project...
